Introduction to ParentConnect

Zangle ParentConnect is a web application providing parents with read-only access to Zangle student data over the Internet. Using a confidential PIN number and password, parents can connect to the district database and view their children's data, such as progress reports, attendance records, homework assignments, report cards, transcripts, test history, cafeteria records, classroom news, and more. (Schools will decide on a track-by-track basis what student data will be viewable.) ParentConnect allows the parent to view, in one session, data on all their enrolled dependents in the same district, across multiple school sites

Why does it say "No Information to Display" after I click Logon and select my child?

You may need to delete your temporary Internet files (Tools→Internet Options→General→Delete Files).

Why do I get an "authentication error" message after I click Logon?

Why don't I see anything on the "Assignments" tab?

The "Assignments" tab will reflect Zangle's Gradebook information if the teachers has opted to share that information. Not all teachers are currently using the grading application that provides this option.

Is there some way to change my PIN?

No. The PIN (Personal Identification Number) is generated by the student database computer system. There is no way to change that number.

Who do I contact about my password?

Call the school where your son or daughter attends for more information, including lost or forgotten passwords. Calls are handled M–F.  Account/Password information is mailed to the address on file.

Why do my spouse and I have individual accounts? Couldn't we just use the same one?

Because a child's parents may live at different addresses, parental access was established for each parent individually. The information available will not differ between parents of the same child. Can my child's stepparent access my child's information? ParentConnection accounts were created only for contacts identified as Mother, Father or Guardian.

How do I get my child's demographic information corrected?

To add or change a telephone number, non-custodial parent address or birthplace, use the email link provided on the Demographics screen. To change a student's home address, please fax supporting documentation to xxx-xxx-xxxx. Be sure to include your child's name and the school he/she attends. (Supporting documents include closing statements, and/or tax bills.)

I have two or more login accounts for my children. How do I combine the accounts?

Contact one of the schools where your children attend, ask the Enrollment Secretary to correct your contact information.

Who will have access to my email address?

Parent email addresses provided through ParentConnect will be used only for District communication. Email addresses will not be sold or given away.

I can see some/all of my child's middle school grades. Are those grades included in his/her cumulative GPA?

No. The cumulative GPA is calculated using grades 9–12 only. Any other grades seen on the transcript are informational only.

If I apply for an account and I have children in different schools, how do I know which school to go to pick up my account information?

If you have applied for an account and have children in different schools you should pick up the account information in the school you sent your registration.

Why do I see different information options when I view my children in different schools?
